As a teenager, I always enjoyed reading poetry and mostly true stories. My 9th grade English teacher, as well as my mother, instilled in me the love of words. They encouraged me to write creatively. As an adult, I have always enjoyed reading novels, both fiction and true stories. I lean more towards true stories, mainly because of my interest in psychology, and human interactions. My first short story titled, The Fifty Cent Coat, is based on an actual event, which I found to be inspirational in portraying the kindness of its characters. A friend told me about this website, and I am excited to be a part of this community. I look forward to reading the stories written in English, as well as refresh my reading abilities in the Italian and Spanish languages. I'm also excited to learn more about creative writing from all the authors in this community. I will be open to any suggestions, constructive criticism, and words of encouragement in order to improve my writing abilities.
