Dear Irene,
my heart goes out to you.
Your poem is full of grief and sorrow.
I understand that one stays behind
completely and utterly devastated.

And the fact that there were sweeter times is no consolation at all.

Dear Christina, there were sweeter times...The poem refers to a school friend. She was killed by a shark. I do miss her very much as with her all dearest friends of my youth are gone. There are only classmates left who cannot replace her as they don't really know us very intimately. Thank you for your sympathy and your hugs which I gladly want to return to you, Irene
